State Rep. Aaron Miller, whose six-year run in Lansing concludes next week, plans to work for a Sturgis-based financial institution.
Miller said he has accepted an offer from Sturgis Bank & Trust. He has already started training and will begin his new job in early January.
The 34-year-old Miller said he has been a lifelong customer. His job will be in the field of business development, though he is learning all aspects of the bank and its operations.
He said it’s an honor to work at a local business that he firmly believes in.
Miller, a former high school math teacher, had planned to pursue an administrator’s license.
Sturgis Bank & Trust President/CEO Eric Eishen said the bank is “extremely fortunate” to land someone of Miller’s integrity.
