The Kalamazoo State Theatre has been connecting artists and fans for more than 90 years and now you can take a private tour of our historic venue!
Take a walk through our Vaudeville Theatre’s history in our extended tour and go backstage in your home with the stars. During your guided tour, you will learn about our atmospheric sky, architecture, organ and pipes, lightboard, marquee, renovation history, and more. You will experience the dressing rooms, the green room, statues, staircases, the fountain, and the theatre house from different viewpoints. Have you ever wondered how the letters on the marquee get changed or how those State on the Street artists got up there to perform? We’ll take you to marquee room and let you in on the secret. And for your final act, you’ll step on the stage and view the theatre as a performing artist would!
All tours come with a koozie and an exclusive, limited-edition poster. Masks are required to be worn at all times. Tours have a max of 4 people. There is no elevator in the theatre.
Appointments are available on Mondays and Fridays from 2 to 5pm every week! Can’t make it during the week? We are offering select Saturday tours as well. All tours are $27.50 per person. Click on the link below to see available tour options!
