Two arrested following traffic stop

Two area men were arrested on drug-related offenses Monday in Sturgis Township.

Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hazel Street after observing the vehicle had an improper license plate.

The driver, a 27-year-old Constantine man, and a 32-year-old Sturgis man were arrested after deputies located methamphetamine and a loaded firearm inside the vehicle.

The suspects were charged with several felonies, including felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, felony firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of methamphetamine, according to authorities.
