Vaccine appointments will be available on health department webpage

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency said starting next week, it will post available vaccine appointments on its webpage.

Beginning Monday and every subsequent Monday, appointments will be posted at 9 a.m.

Current demand for COVID-19 vaccination exceeds the amount of vaccine allocated to the tri-county area. Agency officials last week rolled out an online scheduler that allows citizens to schedule their own appointment.

Vaccinations are currently offered to people in the following categories: health-care workers, and long-term care workers and residents; seniors 65 years of age and older; childcare and PreK-through-12th-grade educational staff; front-line essential workers; and congregate care facilities, including homeless shelters, juvenile justice and child-care staff.
