Barbara M. Phillips, age 60, of Mendon, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021 in a motor vehicle accident in Constantine Township. She was born in Buffalo, NY on Nov. 9, 1960 the daughter of Howard F. and Myrtle (Sieg) Hetzel. She graduated from West Seneca High School in 1979 and from Erie Community college in 1983. Soon after she moved to Michigan where she met her future husband, James L. Phillips II. They were married on Feb. 2, 1985 in Mendon. Barbara worked at Eaton Manufacturing in Three Rivers, International Auto Corp (IAC) and T-H Plastics in Mendon, and was currently employed at Vaupell Midwest in Constantine. She was a big Buffalo Bills football fan and proud member of #BillsMafia.
Barbara is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Jamie M. Phillips of Mendon; two sons, James L. (Mallory) Phillips III of Three Rivers and Joshua (Miranda) Phillips of Mendon; a very special granddaughter who knew her as Grammy, Evelyn Elaine Phillips; her faithful dog, Korndawg; siblings, Howard (Brenda) Hetzel of Batavia, NY, Linda Sherman of Lancaster, NY, and Roy Hetzel of Dade City, FL; in-laws, Judy McCoy of Mendon, Brenda (Clancy) Stephenson of Three Rivers, Don McCoy of Mendon, and Ken Fox of Pennfield; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marion Kopinski; and brother-in-law, Ken Wils.
