St. Joseph County commissioners have recommended changing the first of their two monthly executive committee meetings to a 5 p.m. start from what is currently 8 a.m. The second executive committee meeting of the month would keep its 8 a.m. start time.
The issue was first discussed last month, when new commissioner Jared Hoffmaster indicated he has a work-related conflict with the first of the commission’s two monthly executive committee meetings.
A number of different days and times were suggested. After Hofffmaster confirmed this week he was unable to work out a suitable arrangement with his employer, commissioners agreed to recommend the revised start time for the first executive committee meeting of the month only.
The commission’s 5 p.m. board meeting on the first and third Tuesdays of the month was not changed.
