St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners is going to try establishing a return to in-person meetings.
During their meeting Tuesday, board members agreed it may time to revisit the issue and possibly set a date when they can once again hold their twice-a-month meetings face-to-face.
The subject was raised by administrator Teresa Doehring, who recommended the matter appear on the board’s executive committee agenda when it meets Wednesday next week.
Board chairman Dennis Allen said he knew it was a matter of time before the subject was due to be discussed and had no objections.
Commissioner Ken Malone also supported the idea.
With one exception, commissioners have met via Zoom since April. They managed to meet in person once last fall, but the face-to-face option was short-lived after state-imposed restrictions were put in place, making in-person meetings impossible.
