Don Brown, 78

Donald Allen Brown, age 78, of Sturgis, passed away Friday morning February 26, 2021 at his home.
He was born April 22, 1942 in Sturgis, son of the late Donald “Keith” and Claudine Brown.
Don resided most of his life in the Sturgis and LaGrange County area.
Most of Don’s working life was in the asphalt and paving industry. He retired from Advanced Paving following 15 years of dedicated employment and prior to joining Advanced Paving he spent 20 years with Reith Riley Asphalt Paving Company.
Don had an appreciation and fascination with boats.
He is survived by two sons: Kip Brown of Three Rivers and Jeffery Brown of Sturgis; two grandchildren: Madison Brown and Geoffrey Ryan Brown of Sturgis; one sister: Karen Saddler of Wisconsin; three brothers: Frank Brown of Washington, Larry Brown of Sturgis and Mark Brown of LaGrange.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial donation be directed to The Arc Michigan Autism Now, 1325 S Washington Ave, Lansing, MI 48910-1652.
