Carolyn Wilcox, 87

Carolyn Delores Wilcox, age 87, of Mendon, died Friday, March 26, 2021 at Three Rivers Health. She was born in Geneva, Indiana on Nov. 10, 1933 the daughter of Charles F. and Genevieve J. (Derickson) Blowers, and attended school in Indiana. She had been employed briefly as a waitress at the St. Joe House, and later The Bucket. She also worked for a time at the Carriage Inn in Coldwater. Carolyn retired from United Technologies of Columbia City after 20 years of employment in the packaging department. While living in Mendon she was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 154.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, Michael Guthrie of Sherwood and Robert (Penni) Guthrie of Union City; step-children, Cory Wilcox of South Whitley, Tim Wilcox of Bedford, and Sue Hosek of Mason; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Snader and Beatrice Genyk; and a brother, John Blowers; She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Clifford and Lester Blowers; step-brothers Bernard and Douglas Aldrich; step-sister Judy Reynolds; husband, Robert Wilcox; step-children Sean, Mike, and Bob Wilcox.

Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon with Rev. Carl Litchfield, Pastor of the Mendon United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dutton Cemetery. A recording of the service will appear on the funeral home website later in the day.
