Clara E. Beechy, age 90, of Centreville, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at her daughter’s home.
Clara was born on July 10, 1930 in Yoder, Kansas, a daughter of the late Enos and Polly (Bontrager) Mullet.
She married Eli Beechy on January 18, 1951. He would later precede her in death.
Clara is survived by her children: Sarah (Joe) Miller, Freeman (Edna) Beechy, Melvin (Rosa) Beechy, and Lavern (Viola) Beechy, daughter in law Mattie Beechy, 35 grandchildren, 130 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, a brother Albert Mullet, and sister in laws: Mattie and Sarah Mullet.
Besides her parents Clara was preceded in death by her husband Eli Beechy, daughter Mary Beechy, son John Beechy, 1 grandson, 2 sisters, 6 brothers, 1 step great grandson, 1 great granddaughter.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 starting at 10 AM at the Community Youth Center. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, also at the Community Youth Center with interment to follow at Old Order Amish Cemetery in Centerville. The Community Youth Center is located at: 59321 Nottawa Rd., Centreville. The family was assisted by the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. of Colon.
