Pam Lung, 71

Pamela Lorraine Lung, age 71, of Sturgis, passed away Wednesday morning March 24, 2021, at her home.
She was born Jan. 16, 1950, in Woonsocket, R.I., a daughter of the late Lloyd and Phyllis (Ludwig) Carr.
Pam had resided most of her life in the Sturgis area. Her early life was spent in Rhode Island.
She was first married to Charles F. Quig, who preceded her in death. She later married John Boggs, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 17, 1990, she married Jon E. Lung of Sturgis. He preceded her in death Oct. 22, 2006.
She had been employed by Sharon and Ed Hermann at Hermann’s Restaurant in Sturgis for many years and also had worked at Dometic Corporation in LaGrange.
She enjoyed playing bingo, following the lives of giraffes online and was a fan of Elvis Presley. Pam loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and her dogs, Polly and Chica.
She is survived by four daughters, Dawn (Randy) Handshoe of Howe, Michelle Quig of Indianapolis, Erma Quig of Sturgis and Erika (Kyle) Pearson of LaGrange; a son, Ricky Lung of Sturgis; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Lung of Constantine; a stepson:, Joshua Lung of Sturgis; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Candy Cobble and Nancy Crowder, both of Sturgis; a brother, John Carr of Sturgis; lifelong best friend Sharon Samuels Blankenship of Goshen; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a great-grandson, Kolyn Harker; three sisters; and a nephew.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. Private services will be held at a later date. Pastor Rodger Moyer will officiate.
