Phyllis Kerr, 88

Phyllis June Kerr, age 88, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Safe Haven Assisted Living. She was born June 10, 1932 in Three Rivers, the son of the late Leonard and Esther (Neadder) Mohney.

Phyllis has been a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. On October 8, 1950 in Three Rivers, she was united in marriage to Robert Norman Kerr. Together they raised three children on the Centennial Farm on Hoffman Street, and shared 64 years of marriage before his passing in January 2015.

She was employed as a bus driver for Three Rivers Community Schools for 11 years, and at Ridgeway Floral for many years. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church Three Rivers/Centreville.

A good Grandmother Kerr to all of her family, Phyllis was an avid reader who also enjoyed snowmobiling, camping up north, mushrooming and knitting.

Remaining to cherish her memory are three children, Paula (John) Snivley of Coldwater, Kristine (Jim) Gushwa of Jones and Mark Kerr of Three Rivers; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clayton and Lee Mohney; sisters, Bonnie Arney and Betty Lou Rice; sister-in-law, Kathy Mohney; several nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, one brother, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Hohner Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of memorial services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Brenda Deily will officiate.

Memorials may be donated to the First Presbyterian Church of Three Rivers. Envelopes are available at the funeral home in care of Phyllis’ arrangements.
