St. Joseph County Commission on Aging has reopened in-person activities at its centers in Sturgis and Three Rivers.
COA executive director Pam Riley said the sites re-opened March 15 and so far, all is going well, she noted.
Limited activities include exercise classes and bingo at both locations. The agency is adhering to a limited capacity of 25 percent per room, and is requiring masks and check-in registration.
Seniors may order take-out meals two days in advance for pickup and the centers are seeing an increase in restaurant ticket sales, Riley said, adding the COA remains quite a ways away from congregate meals.
Prospective participants must register in advance. A list of what is being offered, including meal menus, is available on the agency’s website: sjccoa.com, or by calling 279-8083.
