April is Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect month

The St. Joseph County Council for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect wishes to remind the public that April is Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect month.

Typically, CA/N Council members plant pinwheel gardens throughout St. Joseph County. Due to COVID-related precautions, however, council members will provide buckets of pinwheels to anyone who would like to display them.

In addition, the CA/N Council is selling T-shirts for $10. All proceeds go to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Shirt colors are red, blue and purple with white lettering and graphics.

More information is available from executive director Courtney Hyche, at 269-888-3510.

Also, council officials said to be on the lookout for graphics on St. Joseph County Transportation Authority buses. CA/N Council is continuing to work with Bison Graphics and the CTA to have graphics displayed on the back window of multiple buses.
