Centreville makes plan for graduation

Centreville Public Schools Superintendent Stephanie Lemmer has announced the high school’s plans for graduation.

During Monday’s board of education meeting, Lemmer said the ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. May 27 on the stage at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds.

Lemmer said the grandstand and stage areas are covered, providing graduates and spectators protection in the event of inclement weather.

She said another advantage of using the fairgrounds as host of Centreville’s graduation is the benefit of ample parking. Lemmer said ongoing construction at the high school in late May will result in a compromised parking situation on its property for an event of such a magnitude.

She expects more than 1,000 people to attend graduation. Nonetheless, tickets will be issued and required for admission.
