Evie Basham, 75

Evelyn “Evie” Ruth Basham, age 75, of Sturgis, passed away April 11, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born Sept. 23, 1945 in Winfield, Alabama a daughter to the late Ellis and Lorene (Downey) Dodd and lived in Greenfield, IN until moving to Sturgis in 1966.
She met many people while working at Paramount and Harter’s. Evie really connected with the community as a longtime member and employee of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, were she always had a smile to give.
She enjoyed being with her family and friends, working around her home, walking, playing golf, and was always ready to have a good time.
She is survived by her son Jeff Lindsay, three sister’s, Jodie & Walt Halsey, Willean Morris (Bill), Pat & Steve Montani, and 7 grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her son Brian Lindsay, and parents
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Sturgis Eagles Lodge, 1207 W. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
