Gregory Alan McCully, age 70, of Jones, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021.
He was born June 27, 1950 in Gary, Indiana, the son of George L. and Mildred Ada (Rudd) McCully.
Greg graduated from trade school and was a salesman in the meat industry.
He served his country proudly in the 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam era.
Greg loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and was faithful in sharing it. He also enjoyed music, cars, and BBQ.
On June 5, 1970 he married Ramona Lynn Calvert. Together they were longtime members of Newberg Norton Bible Church.
Greg leaves to cherish his memory a son, John (Sarah) McCully of Clinton, Wis. and their children, Abigail, Connor, Ethan, Joshua, Katherine, Elizabeth, Lillianne, Jensen, and Evelynne McCully; a daughter, Hayley Welch of Jones and her children, Rebekah (Nathan) Olson and Nathan Welch; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Oswald Olson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn, on March 27, 2016.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Poe’s Cemetery, corner of Born Street and Patterson Hill Road in Newberg Township. Rev. James Braden will officiate.
