Ned F. Schaurer, age 86, of Colon, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at his home.
Ned was born on November 4, 1934 in Phillipsburg, Ohio, a son to the late Ralph and Gladys (Pence) Schaurer.
Ned graduated from Phillipsburg High School with the class of 1953. Following graduation Ned served his country in the United States Army. Upon his discharge Ned worked and retired from GM working in the maintenance department.
On April 19, 1958 Ned married Eva Witzleb in Phillipsburg, Ohio at the Pastors House.
Ned is survived by his wife of 62 years Eva Schaurer of Colon, a son Scott (Beer) Schaurer of Houston, Texas, a daughter Kelley (Bret) Isom of Cape Coral, Florida, 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, Twin great granddaughters with one more on the way, a sister Marilyn Lawhorn, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Ned was preceded in death by a sister Will Stanbeck.
The Schaurer family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 4 to 6 PM at the Schipper Funeral Home. Following Ned’s visitation in Colon there will be a visitation held in Phillipsburg, Ohio on Friday with a graveside service to follow.
