Three Rivers man charged with receiving stolen firearms

A Three Rivers man was charged with receiving stolen firearms and accessory after-the-fact to a home invasion.

State police officials said 39-year-old Alexander Zuchnik was arrested in March. He was arraigned March 25 and a preliminary court date of April 6 has been set.

Authorities said four rifles were taken June last year from a residence on Shaffmaster Road in Branch County’s Bronson Township. Investigators said access was gained through a door from an attached garage.

Authorities were able to link Zuchnik to the crime scene. A warrant was executed and troopers found the weapons at his residence.

Theft of the weapons is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

With past drug-related convictions in St. Joseph and Kalamazoo counties, Zuchnik is also charged as a four-time habitual offender.
