David Hahn, 64

David Lee Hahn, age 64, of White Pigeon, passed away late Saturday evening, May 29, 2021 at his home with his wife at his side.
He was born August 6, 1956 in Sturgis, son of the late Edward Cephus and Sarah Ilona (Eaton) Hahn.
David was a lifelong resident of the Sturgis and White Pigeon area and was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1974.
On September 2, 1983 he married his soulmate, Linda Stout in Coldwater.
Most of David’s working life was driving tractor trailer semi-trucks. He drove over the road independently for 12 years and for Walmart for 17 years where he retired. He had also worked for 16 years at Grumman Olson in Sturgis.
David enjoyed the craft of forging becoming skilled in forging knives. He also enjoyed shooting and hunting, always looking forward to time at the deer camp and traveling. David always found time to share his many skills with others especially younger people.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife: Linda; one daughter: Tamara Hahn of Sturgis; four sons: Douglas McKerchie of Ludington, Duane McKerchie of Tucson, Arizona, Daryl (Jodi Hoover) McKerchie of Battle Creek and David McKerchie of Columbus, Ohio; 13 grandchildren: Danielle, Shane, Jennifer, Bray, Emily, Stephanie, Danae, Zach, Haiti, Tyler, Amberlee, Savannah and Brody; 14 great grandchildren; one brother: Larry (Linda) Hahn of Sturgis and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering celebrating and honoring the life of David Lee Hahn will begin at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 12th at the Parham Road Barn, 172 S. Parham Rd. in Bronson.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
