Donna Johnson, 82

Donna Sue Johnson, age 82, of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at The Laurels of Coldwater.
She was born June 7, 1938 in Connersville, IN a daughter to the late Charles and Mary (Oldhom) Kain.
On Nov. 28, 1958 in Burr Oak, she married Ken “Maynard” Johnson and together they have celebrated almost 62 years of marriage.
Donna had been employed by Door Products in Burr Oak for 15 years and then she and Ken purchased Boals Water Conditioning which they owned and operated for 30 years. She also had Unique Hair Designs which she managed for many years.
She enjoyed life at Matteson Lake and would waterski without knowing how to swim, she enjoyed riding on the back of Ken’s motorcycle, even falling asleep once in awhile, she enjoyed their cabin up north, camping, and bowling on league’s.
Surviving are her husband: Ken “Maynard”; 2 daughters: Debbie (Michael) Littlefield of Tecumseh, and Beth (Len) Ortmann of Sturgis; 4 grandchildren: Tricia Schorer, Holly (Mitchell) Reh, Bryan Littlefied, and Corey (April) Roberts; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Marlene Schneider, and a brother: Gary “Gus” Kain.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 5:30 P.M., Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Burr Oak United Methodist Church, 206 W. Main St., Burr Oak, MI 49030 with Rev. Carl Litchfield, officiating.
Memorial donations may be directed to the church, envelopes are available at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
