Juan Cavazos, 59

Juan Jose Cavazos, age 59, of Elkhart, passed away Friday morning May 7, 2021 at Goshen Hospital.
Juan was born on January 2, 1962 in Alice, Texas son of Armando and Maria Ruth (Garcia) Cavazos.
His early years were spent in Lansing, moving to LaBelle, Florida in his teenage years. Juan resided in LaBelle, until relocating to Elkhart, 6 months ago to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
Juan was a talented truck driver by trade specializing in providing sanitation services. He spent many years proudly servicing the SouthWest Florida area.
Coche as many of his family called him will be remembered for his stubbornness, and his love of the outdoors gardening, fishing, and walking. He enjoyed many things in life none of which compared to the time he spent with loved ones, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons: Juan (Ja’Nee) Cavazos of Elkhart, and Javier (Michelle) Cavazos of Three Rivers; seven grandchildren: Jonathon, Lorin, Ayriana, Sophie, Gabriella, Gianna and Javier, Jr.; his father: Armando Cavazos Sr. of LaBelle, Florida; two sisters: Rosa Cavazos and Thelma Cavazos both of LaBelle, Florida; three brothers: Armando Jr., Rene and Rubin Cavazos all of LaBelle, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother: David Cavazos.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 Wednesday at the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 402 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis where The Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be prayed together at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday. The Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Juan Jose Cavazos will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the church. In accordance with family wishes cremation will follow the Mass.
The family has requested donations can be made directly to Hackman Family Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 9, Sturgis, MI 49091 or to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 402 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091 on behalf of Juan’s expenses.
