Kathy Regina Freeby, age 66, of Three Rivers, went to be with the Lord Jesus on May 14, 2021 after a nine-month-long battle with cancer.
She was born November 25, 1954 in Oneonta, Alabama to Euel and Robbie (McCay) Faile, who preceded her in death.
Kathy leaves behind her husband of 31 years, Michael Freeby; three siblings, Debbie Faile, Tina (Jeff) DeBree and Dwight Faile; a daughter, Rachel Gambrell; grandson, Kayleb Boyles; granddaughter, Nevaeh Johnson; mother-in-law, Beverly “Jean” Freeby; sister-in-law, Karly Kegerreis; brother-in-law, Chuck (Diane) Freeby; three aunts; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy enjoyed motorcycling, spending time with her grandchildren and friends, time by her pool, and her flowers.
She owned Signature Nails until she retired to spend time with her grandson.
Kathy started spending winters in California in 2012 and continued after her husband retired until she was diagnosed with cancer in August 2020.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bill Rose officiating. Interment will be in Nottawa Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Envelopes are available at the funeral home in care of her arrangements.
