Penny Hayes, 73

Penny D Hayes, age 73, of White Pigeon, died on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Newcare in Sturgis following an extended illness.
She was born on March 22, 1948 in Sturgis the daughter of Victor and Dema (Hamilton) Palmer. She was a White Pigeon area resident all of her life. She was a graduate of White Pigeon High School in 1966 and Glen Oaks Community College. She was a bookkeeper all of her life, last employed with the Commission on Aging, and retired in 2010. She was a member of The Light and Life Wesleyan Church in Three Rivers, Ladies Group of the Church. She enjoyed bowling, dominoes and most of all time with her family.
Penny was married to Dennis W Hayes on August 17, 1968 in White Pigeon. He survives with daughters Julie Vosburg and Jamie (Ronald) Foster, 3 grandchildren Kaitlyn, Brandi, and Nathan. 2 great grandchildren Reina and Grayson. Sisters Vicky (Charles) Burnau, Susie Baker, and Robyn (David) Eckert. Mother Dema Palmer, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon where services will be held at 1:00 on Friday, May 7, 2021 with Pastor Sam Maddox and Pastor Ted Hayes officiating. Interment in White Pigeon Township Cemetery, donations may be directed to Three Rivers Hospice.
