Three Rivers Golf – Thursday

The Three Rivers Golf team traveled to the Stonehedge North Course  Thursday  (5-27-21) for the Wolverine Conference Tournament.  The Cats finished in 6th place in the conference with a score of 369.  Winning the conference title was Plainwell with a score of 329.

Garron Gahan earned All-Conference honors firing an 87, good for 10th place overall.  Isaac Adams and Owen Sampson received Honorable Mention with scores of 91 and 92, respectively, which were good for 14th and 16th places.  Rounding out the scoring for the Cats was Nick Melville with a 99, and Sam Meyer shot a 102.

“I’m happy with the way we competed today, we just left a few shots out there that cost us a few spots in the standings.  I thought going into the tournament that 4th through 9th places were up for grabs, and just 9 strokes separated third place to sixth place.  It’s tough because each player can think of a shot or two that they could have saved, but that’s just the game of golf.”– Coach Pat Kline

Three Rivers will be back in action next Thursday, June 3rd, when they travel to Coldwater Golf Club for the Regional Tournament.
