TR High School – Golf

The Three Rivers Golf team traveled to Klinger Lake Country Club today to participate in the Sturgis Invitational.  The team improved on their performance from Monday, and were able to finish in 4th place in the tournament of 10 schools, shooting a 398.

Leading the Cats was Owen Sampson with a 92, which was good for 8th place overall and a top-ten medal.  Isaac Adams carded a 96, followed by Dominick Homan with a 99, and Sam Meyer carded a 111 to round out the scoring for the Cats.

“We played here on Monday in a tri-match and the course kind of got the best of us.  It was encouraging to see the guys respond and come out here today and play much better.” — Coach Pat Kline

The Cats will be back in action next Wednesday when they travel to Lake Doster for a tri-match with host Plainwell, and Dowagiac.
