Charlotte Persinger, 77

Charlotte Ann Persinger (Osborne), age 77, died on Thursday, June 24, 2021, following hospice care for cancer at Dear County AFC home in Burr Oak. She was born on June 27, 1943 in Montgomery, WV. Charlotte graduated high school in Hinton, WV. Throughout her life she lived in many different locations, with the notable ones being Hinton, WV; Constantine; Mendon; Kalamazoo; and Cassopolis.
Charlotte is survived by her children Richard Young, Karri (Ryan) Hambrick, Charlie (Nicole) Persinger, Bobby (Marciley) Persinger, and Brian Persinger; brother Gary (Peggy) Osborne; 7 grandchildren: Johnathan, Tessa, Ryan, Collin, Owen, Wyatt, and Teagan; 2 nieces Cathy & Anna. She was preceded in death by her parents Lee E. Osborne and Marjorie J. (Walkup) Osborne.
Charlotte was a homemaker for the earlier part of her life, before graduating from Glen Oaks Community College and later obtaining a job in the accounts receivable department of Western Michigan University where she retired from. She enjoyed flowers and was a lifelong lover of cats.
There will be a family only gathering at graveside in Burr Oak Cemetery at 11am on Saturday, July 10th. Family will be received at the family residence following for food and remembrance of Charlotte. In lieu of flowers family is asking for donations to be given to Kindred Hospice of Kalamazoo or the American Cancer Society.
