Gayle L. Holtz, age 69, of Centreville, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at her home. Gayle was born in Joliet, IL on October 31, 1951, a daughter of Elmer and Dolores “Sally” Bright. She graduated from Three Rivers Schools. Gayle worked for IAC (Leer) in Mendon before retiring after 30+ years of service. In 1993, she married Donald Holtz at the Corey Lake Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery, and loved spending time with her family, children, and grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband Don Holtz of Centreville, son David (Jean) Anderson of Centreville, son Monte (Jill) Anderson of Centreville, daughter Sherry Regal of Athens, daughter Shannon VanZant of Idaho, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and brother Elmer Bright of Centreville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Sharon (Adrian) Long, and first husband Ronald Anderson.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 to 2 PM at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Alyssa Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Nottawa Cemetery.
