Judy Bickel, 74

Judith Ann “Judy” Bickel, age 74, of Three Rivers, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 24, 2021. She was born in Chesaning, MI on Oct. 2, 1946 the daughter of James and Doris (Jones) House and later graduated from Chesaning High School. She worked for over 20 years at True Heat in Allegan and most recently as the secretary for the Three Rivers Bible Church where she was a very active member. Judy enjoyed cardplaying, word search puzzles, and gardening. She also enjoyed woodworking with her late husband, Stanley Bickel, whom she married on Sep. 12, 1992. Stanley died in 2018.

Judy is survived by two children, Amy Lynn (Jimmy Hitchcock) Morey of Allegan and Christopher (Stephanie) Shears of Cove, AR; five grandchildren, Kirsten (Chad Counterman) Shears, Karissa Shears, Matthew Sherwood, Jasmine Sherwood, and Lea Shears; four great-grandchildren, Phytyn Gruhn, Jossylyn Gruhn, Brycyn Counterman, and Kamdyn Counterman; a brother, James (Judy) House, Jr. of Grand Ledge, MI; sister, Mary Jo Owens of Grand Junction, CO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley; and a grandson, Kyle Morey.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the Three Rivers Bible Church, 220 N. Erie, in Three Rivers. Services will begin at 11 am at the church with Pastor Jeff Homan officiating. Food and fellowship will follow at the church. Entombment will be 2:30 pm Thursday at Mount Ever Rest Cemetery, 3941 S. Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo. It is suggested that memorial contributions be directed to the Three Rivers Bible Church. Arrangements were by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon.
