Stanley Crippin, 68

Stanley Lawrence Crippin, age 68, of Three Rivers passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Edgewood Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on August 2, 1952 the son of Donald L. and Josephine (Shumway) Crippin.

Stanley was a 1971 Honors graduate of Three Rivers High School and a 1975 graduate of Glen Oaks Community College.

He earned his Journeyman’s card from Square D in Three Rivers, then worked 35 years for General Motors in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids as a Tool and Die Maker, earning several more Journeyman cards in other areas retiring in 2008.

He enjoyed Boy Scouts when his children were young, hunting (usually just drinking at deer camp), fishing, golf, camping, spending time with the grandkids, friends and family.

He was preceded in passing by Father Donald Crippin, Mother Josephine Crippin, Sister Alice, Sister Barbara, Brother Larry, Brothers-in-law Earl Kramb, Tim Baker and Mike Wickey as well as many other aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins.

Stanley leaves to cherish his memory wife, Cheryl (Schwartz) Crippin whom he married June 11, 1972; sons, Gary (Shelley) Crippin, Darrel Crippin, and Eric (Terri) Crippin. Grandchildren Kayla Crippin, Ashley Crippin, Carolyn Crippin, Morgan Crippin, Phillip Crippin and Scott Crippin. He is also survived by his “adopted” sons Paul Valentin of Portage, Gaetan Delehouzee of Belgium, Daniel Velasco of Bolivia and Menono Velasco of Miami, FL.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Evans officiating. Graveside services to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers.

Memorial donations in Stanley’s memory may be directed to Cheryl Crippin. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
