Art Reeg, 95

Arthur Paul Reeg died on Sunday, July 4, 2021 in Muskegon, at age 95.
Art was one of six children born to Foster and Irene Reeg and was raised in Sturgis.
He trained to be a pilot, but WWII ended before he flew any missions. Art graduated from Sturgis High School and Michigan State University earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. We retired from Kaydon Corporation after 37 years.
Art and wife Joan Mierle, have been married nearly 65 years and raised four children.
Art was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Audrey Hecht, Gordon, Vernon, and Jack Reeg. He is survived by his wife, Joan, children, Heidi (Peter) Roland, Peter Reeg, Amy Davros, Patrick (Abby) Reeg, sister, Joy Myers and eight grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken Street, Norton Shores MI 49441) with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass, 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the church. Donations in memory of Art may be made to St Francis de Sales Church in Muskegon.
