Chris Long, 55

Christine Marie Long, age 55, of Sturgis, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early Wednesday evening June 30, 2021 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
She was born January 15, 1966 in Sturgis, daughter of Michael and Rose (Chrisman) Allen.
Chris was a lifelong Sturgis resident and graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1984 and stayed in contact with many of her friends and classmates her entire life.
She was a mother and homemaker for much of her early life and was employed by Morgan Olson in Sturgis as a supervisor for 17 years.
Chris was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Sturgis where she was a member of the Deaconess Board and volunteered her time on many committees.
She is survived by her husband and soulmate: Daron Long; three sons: Allen Michael (Amy) Ertman of Sturgis, Corey (Amanda) Ertman of Shipshewana, and Ryan (Melanie) Ertman of Sturgis; her pride and joy eight grandchildren: Lexi Ertman, Aleah, Aubrey and Liam Ertman, Brycen Kyle, Adilynn, Farrah and Tavien Pietrariu; one sister: Cindy (Terry) Brown of Sturgis; one brother: Michael (Susan) Allen of Constantine and several nieces and nephews.
Her father Michael Allen preceded her in death.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 P.M. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Sturgis where a memorial service celebrating the life of Christine Marie Long will begin at 12:00 P.M. Thursday. The Rev. Matt Taylor will officiate. Private burial of the ashes will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to the Hackman Family Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 9, Sturgis, MI 49091 who is entrusted with the arrangements.
