Class of 64 begin fundraising challenge

Members of Three Rivers’ class of 1964 are issuing a challenge to classmates.

In advance of a 75th birthday party July 31, event organizers are each pledging $75 to support the Three Rivers Promise program.

So far, four classmates have committed to the challenge. They are hoping at least four more Class of ’64 alumni will do the same in an effort to raise at least $600 toward the recently established scholarship program.

The Three Rivers Promise is a college scholarship program for Three Rivers High School graduates that enable their successful completion of a college or vocational degree. Three Rivers Promise is a 501(c)(3) non-profit overseen by a nine-member board.

The program website is threeriverspromise.com.

Checks are also welcome, made out to “Three Rivers Promise,” and mailed to Jan Michaels c/o “Class of ’64 TRP challenge,” TRP, Box 405, Three Rivers.
