Constantine residents arrested on drug charges

Two Constantine residents were arrested on drug-related offenses last week.

Sheriff Mark Lillywhite said deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding shortly after 9 p.m. Friday on Centreville-Constantine Road, near Engle Road in Florence Township.

The driver, a 47-year-old man, was arrested after deputies found approximately two pounds of methamphetamine and a substantial amount of cash inside the vehicle.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s Florence Township residence, where they located a 35-year-old woman. She was arrested after deputies found an additional 48 grams of methamphetamine, as well as paraphernalia used to package and sell methamphetamine.

Deputies also seized six catalytic converters, which are suspected to be stolen.
