Marie Ross’s time on earth, serving the Lord, was completed on Monday, July 26, 2021. Her life was filled with many blessings and she happily went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Marie was born to Arthur Louis (Pitchford) and Grace Ida (Lancaster) Storm on December 19, 1929 in Battle Creek. She married Richard Theodore Ross on June 27, 1953 at Lakeview Bible Church, and lovingly raised three daughters.
Marie graduated from Lakeview High School and Argubright Business College in Battle Creek.
Marie was a founding member of the Fish Lake Bible Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Junior Church / AWANA Leader, Deaconess, Treasurer, Mission Board member, and Librarian. She was also involved with Centreville Fairground Mission and Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Marie worked at Kirsch Co., was co-creator of Ross Sand & Gravel, served as Centreville Village Treasurer for 7 years, and served as Nottawa Township Treasurer for 26 years.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents Arthur & Grace Storm; husband, Richard Ross; and siblings Margaret, Carl, Keith, and Jerald. She is survived by (and was extremely proud of) her daughters Cynthia, Debora and Charlene (Michael Beals), as well as 6 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. We are all very proud of the legacy and example she has left for us to follow.
A memorial and celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Fish Lake Bible Church, 25108 Banker Street, Sturgis, Michigan, visitation from 3 to 4 PM, service at 4 PM and fellowship time following.
