Ora Harris, 86

Ora Lurene Harris, age 86, of Sturgis, passed away, to the presence of the Lord, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Golden Living Center in Kokomo, IN.
She was born January 18, 1935 in Vincennes, IN a daughter to the late Delbert and Goldie (Donovan) McCord.
Ora graduated from Decker High School and from Vincennes University.
On Sept. 30, 1956 in Vincennes, she married Donald Lee Harris. He preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1994.
In 1968, she and Donald moved to Sturgis from Jasper, IN and Ora stayed at home to raise her children. She was a member of Radiant Life Church and volunteered her time with the Sturgis High School Band Boosters and was treasurer for the Wesleyan Missions for many years. She loved her children, her grandchildren and her church. She was known to be a prayer warrior and an avid letter writer, sending notes of encouragement to many through the years.
Surviving are two sons: Bradley (Judy) Harris of Merrill, MI and Brian (Joyce) Harris of Kokomo, IN, and 4 grandchildren: Emily (Matt) Zottarelli, Elisabeth Harris, Rebekah Harris and Katherine Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: Frank Solomon, a daughter: Beth Ann Harris, 2 brothers: Maurice and Ed McCord, and one sister: Marjorie. She is survived by one sister, Jeane (Robert) McAllister of Vincennes, IN.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 12 Noon to 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 12, 2021 at Radiant Life Church, 907 N. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Services celebrating the life of Ora L. Harris will be held at 2:00 P.M., immediately following the visitation, at the church with Rev. Ryan Bibb, officiating.
Interment and graveside services will follow at Sturgis Memorial Gardens. The family suggest memorial donations be directed to Radiant Life Church.
