Palmer Lake Flotilla wrap-up

Cities from around the world were featured as part of the 15th annual Palmer Lake Flotilla last week in Colon.

In all, 19 entries showcased cities such as Dublin, Honolulu, Cairo, New Orleans and Paris. First place was awarded to Tom and Ginger Peak, new residents, with their New York City-themed entry featuring portrayals of Dick Clark, Stay-Puft from “Ghostbusters,” Statue of Liberty, “King Kong” and pilot Sully Sullenberger.

Jim and Michelle Crawford and family won the “Best Shoreline” award with a Giza City-theme, with replicas of the Great Pyramids and desertscape featuring camels, mummies, pharaohs, an archeologist, The Sphinx and Cleopatra crossing the Nile River.
