Pauline Thomas, 83

Pauline A. Thomas, age 83, of Mendon, died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Three Rivers Health after a brief illness. She was born on March 25, 1938 the daughter of William T. and Tressie (Phillips) Hamlett. She resided Louisiana and Utah before coming to Michigan in 1990 following her marriage to Willie David Thomas. She was a caregiver and chef while working at a group-home in Utah, and where she became an ordained minister. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and was a talented home decorator. She enjoyed working in her garden, and cooking for her family.

Pauline is survived by her husband, Willie David Thomas of Mendon; step-daughter, Julia Ann (Daniel D.) Ewing of Midland, TX; six grandchildren, Danielle Deanne Price, Cody Lynn Morrow, Bobby Allen Flagel, David Steven Bell, Julia Faye Ewing, and Daniel Louis Ewing; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Samuel Hamlett; sister, Beatrice (Truman) Whitlow; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Woodrow Hamlett and William Hamlett; and by a sister, Irene Pickett.

Friends may visit from 9 to 10 am Saturday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Saturday, July 3, 2021 in Mendon Cemetery with Pastor David Stevens of the Leonidas Baptist Church officiating.
