Tim Bishop, 65

Timothy “Tim” Lee Bishop, age 65, of Marcellus, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Bronson Hospital.

Tim was born in Battle Creek on June 6, 1956, the son of Virgil Lee Bishop and Shirley Gwin (Holtz) Bishop.

On June 17, 1978 in Jones, Tim married Rhonda Renea Lucas, who survives him in death.

Tim was general laborer in the auto industry for 30 years, working for many of those 30 years, and retired from, American Axle in Three Rivers. He enjoyed watching his children and later his grandchildren play school sports. Over the years, Tim replaced or repaired many pieces of worn out or broken athletic equipment and uniforms. He liked to go deer hunting with his children, and ice fishing. Over the last few years Tim started to “hobby farm” cows.

Tim is survived by his wife Rhonda; daughter; Lacie (Adam) Deer, Son; Lucas (Jessica) Bishop, Brother; Tom (Peggy) Bishop, Brother-in-law Jeff (Kim) Lucas, Mother-in-law; Betty Lucas, granddaughters; Caylee, Mackenzie, Maddyson, Halie, Bernadette, Harlow and Britany Carpenter, and Carlyn Deer, grandsons; Landen and Hollis Bishop, Braylon and Anderson Williams and Adan Deer, and several nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Virgil Shirley Bishop, a grandson Rocky Stoner, great-grandson Alex Regan and his father-in-law Duane Lucas.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Monday, July 12 at the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, 52780 M-40 North, Marcellus. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 12. Memorial donations may be directed to the Tim Bishop Memorial Account at G.W. Jones Bank.
