Members of the Three Rivers Health Authority Board voted earlier this week to support a member-substitution agreement with Beacon Health System.
The step is one of many necessary for the proposed partnership between Three Rivers Health and the Indiana-based health system.
The potential agreement now awaits approval by the Three Rivers Health Board of Directors, as well as the blessings of the Beacon Health Board of Directors.
Officials from both operations said the proposed deal would still be subject to a documentation review by the Michigan Attorney General’s Office before taking effect.
The latest development took place Monday during the Three Rivers Health Board of Directors meeting.
Three Rivers Health CEO Dave Shannon and Beacon Health System CEO Kreg Gruber attended and fielded a number of questions about the potential partnership.
