Robert Paul Outman passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in Allen, Texas at the age of 65. He was born September 13, 1955 to Leon and Margaret (Rich) Outman in Coldwater, Michigan.
Bob was raised in Leonidas, and had an early passion for sports and his community. He attended Ferris University, playing football, and studying education. Later he earned a Master’s degree from Texas A&M University. He then settled in Allen, Texas with his growing family. Bob worked tirelessly with the Allen community dedicating his time to various nonprofits. His ultimate passion in life was his children and later his seven grandchildren. Some of his favorite activities were enjoying Sunday with his family and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Bob will be remembered for his generous heart, his unwavering integrity and love for his family.
He is survived by his son, Buck Hickman and wife, Marissa of Allegan; daughter, Cam Leitz of St. Joseph; son, Bobby Outman and wife, Adrienne of Little Elm, Texas; daughter, Laurelin Outman and Andrew Peterson of Austin, Texas; son, Thomas Outman and Kiana Owen of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Kaytlin, Olivia, Madeleine, Hudson, Delaney, Waylon, and James Paul; brother, Jim Outman and wife, Jan of Hendersonville, North Carolina; sister, Bonnie Outman of Three Rivers; nephew, Joshua Outman and wife, Monica of North Carolina; and niece, Summer Robinson of North Carolina.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Margaret Outman; son, Michael Paul Outman; and brother, John F. Outman.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Friday August 6, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
