Chuck Feller, 94

Charles E. Feller, Jr., age 94, of Sturgis, passed away Wednesday evening August 25, 2021 at the Life Care Center of LaGrange.
Charles, “Chuck” Feller was born July 4, 1927 in Terre Haute, Indiana son of the late Charles E. and Leona (Palmer) Feller, Sr.
He met Christine Herman in 1952 and the couple was married the 10th of October 1953.
Charles attended Amo High School in Amo, Indiana, Tri-State College and Western Michigan University, earning a BS degree in Engineering.
He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp and the Indiana National Guard and Army Reserves for 22 years, retiring as a Major.
He was employed by the Kirsch Company in Sturgis for 30 years, retiring in 1992.
Chuck served as the Sturgis Township Treasurer from 1970-1994 and he was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 67 years: Christine; five children: Polly Lindsay of Sturgis, Teresa Johansen of Bloomington, Illinois, John Feller of Cantonment, Florida, Barbara Doane of Bristol, Indiana and Angela (Ronald) Anger of Spring Lake; four grandchildren: Jessica (Andy) Kiss of Colon, Tyler (Jennifer) Johansen of Bloomington, Illinois, Amanda Anger of Spring Lake and Alexander Anger of Grand Rapids; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Marjorie Brooks and grandson: Joseph Lindsay.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd, Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-3284 where the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be prayed at 6:00 P.M. Sunday. The funeral Mass celebrating the life of Charles E. Feller, Jr. will begin at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis. The Rev. Father Raul Gomez celebrant. A graveside committal will follow the Mass at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis. Full military honors will be conferred by Captain John J. Kelley Post #1355 VFW and the U.S. Army Guard.
The family requests that all guests wear a mask for the safety of all those attending at the visitation and the Funeral Mass.
The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Feller’s memory consider the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 402 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091.
