GT Independence names officers

GT Independence in Sturgis has named Megan Owen as chief operating officer, Cindy Desch as chief talent officer and Jeremy Gump as chief administrative officer.

The appointments were announced by CEO Holly Carmichael, who assumed that role Aug. 5.

All three appointees took over their new roles effective Aug. 17 and are actively working to support GT’s operations, Carmichael said.

Owen, who succeeds Carmichael as COO, is primed for the responsibility of formulating long-range objectives, and programs for the markets and business areas served by GT Independence.

Desch, in the newly created role of chief talent officer, will oversee learning and development; employee engagement; culture and belonging; and stakeholder training resources.

Gump is GT’s first chief administrative officer and is responsible for managing the accounting, finance, compliance, quality, facilities, legal and personnel departments.
