Karen Joan Woodall, age 81, of Marcellus, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home.
She was born January 30, 1940 at Barron Lake, Niles, the daughter of Howard John and Sarah Jane (Toombs) Woodall, and moved to Howardsville at the age of 3.
Karen was a dedicated employee at Three Rivers Hospital, where she worked 44 years as a dietician. She was also a faithful member of Berean Baptist Church in Portage.
She collected mice and loved knitting and crocheting. She knitted hats for St. Jude, toe warmers for Three Rivers Hospital, and was part of a special knitting group that met at the café.
Remaining to cherish Karen’s memory are four sisters, Peggy Kuratko of Three Rivers, Betty Lucas of Three Rivers, Helen Woodall of Three Rivers and Judy (Ron) Stiteler of Texas; 17 special nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents along with her sister, Sally Smith; brothers-in-law, Jim Smith, George Bell, Duane Lucas and Joe Kuratko; and nephew, Tim Bishop.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Abernathy officiating.
