Man arrested following police pursuit

A Three Rivers man was arrested last week after leading authorities on a pursuit in Fabius Township.

Sheriff Mark Lillywhite said deputies attempted to stop a vehicle shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Null Road, near Pulver Road, for a traffic violation.

The 37-year-old driver of the suspect vehicle failed to stop, and lead deputies and a Three Rivers Police Department officer on a pursuit.

The suspect drove through a yard on Pleasant View Road and crashed into a Three Rivers patrol car before leaving the scene. The suspect eventually lost control of his vehicle as it turned off Day Road and onto Dutch Settlement Road.

The driver was taken into custody while a passenger, a 26-year-old woman from Vicksburg, was also apprehended.

Both suspects were jailed for narcotics-related violations. The man faces additional charges related to the pursuit, as well as a number of outstanding warrants, authorities said.
