Sharon Fisher, 72

Sharon E. Fisher, age 72, of Centreville, died early Sunday morning, August 1, 2021 at Ascension-Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born in Martinsville, IN on April 10, 1949 the daughter of Ancil A. and Mary T. (Basso) Carter. She graduated from Martinsville High School, and it was in Martinsville that she married Carroll Rex Fisher on July 31, 1966. They moved to the Mendon-Centreville area in 1969. Sharon was a very active leader of the Girl Scouts for many years, and was currently assembling its historical archives. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and knitting, making many mittens for the kids at school. She was a mentor, confidant, caregiver, and mother to many.

Sharon is survived by three children, Trina (Scott) Luegge of Three Rivers, Rex Fisher of Sturgis, and Theresa (Stacy Eling) Fisher of Mendon; five grandchildren, John Hoskins, Amber (Sidney) Ellis, Meagan (Robert) Bailey, Mackenzie (Tyler) Krueger, and Montanna (Chris Banister) Eling; five great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Rylie, Brooklyn, and Madelyn Ellis, and Ethan Kreueger; three brothers, Dennis Carter, John Carter, and Jimmie (Marsha) Carter; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband, Carroll in 2017.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 5 pm Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Bonnie Saddler officiating. Cremation will follow services with a private interment in Nottawa Cemetery.
