Sue Rodman, 74

Sandra Sue Rodman, age 74, of Sturgis, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior early Saturday morning August 14, 2021 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis.
She was born August 6, 1947 in Muncie, Indiana daughter of the late Richard B. and Elsie L. (Holman) Bright.
Sue resided in Sturgis since 1980 coming from Orlando, Florida.
On May 9, 1964 she married James W. Rodman in Jonesboro, Indiana. He preceded her in death March 15, 2018.
Sue retired from Sturgis Molded Products following 25 years of dedicated employment.
She was a member of the LaGrange Church of Christ in LaGrange. She and James loved traveling to visit lighthouses and together they visited nearly all the lighthouses in Michigan. She enjoyed crocheting and when it was popular was part of the Beanie Baby craze. Sue’s greatest joy was times surrounded by her family she so dearly loved.
She is survived by two sons: James (Corinne) Rodman of Quincy, Illinois and Scott (Debbie) Rodman of Sturgis; four grandchildren: Rollin, Peter, Sarah and Sienna; two sisters: Regina Lines and Deb Hershberger both of Goshen, Indiana; two brothers: Jerry (Carmen) Bright of White Pigeon and Jeff Bright of Three Rivers; special friend and neighbor: Lila Curtis and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Kathy Pomeroy and five brothers: Richard, Tom, Mike, Rex and Greg Bright.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the funeral home at a later date to be announced.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mrs. Rodman’s memory consider the charity of one’s own choice.
