Six re-appointments to the St. Joseph County Solid Waste Management Planning Committee were made last week.
County commissioners supported a motion to renew for two years the terms of John Smits and Glenn Nissley as industry representatives, Frank Kalasky as environmental representative, Doris Ripplinger and Carol Higgins representing the general public, and Mark Ripplinger representing municipalities.
All terms expire in September 2023.
Meanwhile, Jared Hoffmaster and Angila Wilson were renewed for two more years as representatives on the Workforce Development Board for Michigan Works Southwest.
The two represent the private sector. Hoffmaster is assistant vice president and investment officer at Century Bank and Trust in Three Rivers, while Wilson is engagement manager at GT Independence in Sturgis.
