Jack Duane Melchi, age 81, of Three Rivers, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at his home.
He was born December 10, 1939 in White Pigeon, the son of Dale and Emily Mae (Waldren) Melchi, and graduated from Sturgis High School with the Class of 1958.
He served in the U.S. Navy from January 28, 1958 to January 26, 1962, and retired from GTE after more than 30 years of service.
On October 30, 1998, he married Fay (Hagenbuch) Cutler.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Fay; children, Pam (Cecil) Miller and Doug (Shelly) Melchi; step-children, Peter (Lisa) Cutler and Chad (Jamie) Cutler; grandchildren, Tara (Ryan) Vogt, Austin (Kelsi) Miller, Courtney Cutler, Angela and Amanda Cutler, Nicholas and Joseph Melchi; great-grandchildren, Logan, Kinley and Connor Vogt and Kaden, Adrienne and Raelynn Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers, Edward and Harry “Bud.”
In accordance with family wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
