Mark Edwin Eichorn will always be remembered for his kind heart even during difficult times. Unfortunately, this time the pain was too difficult. Mark died by suicide on Thursday, September 9th, 2021. He was 43 years old.
Mark was one of the most caring and generous people you will ever meet. Always big in stature, Mark’s heart was even bigger. He was soft spoken but always greeted you with big hugs and a sly smile. A big teddy bear.
He was a wonderful uncle who would always toss you whatever cash was in his wallet on your birthday. Mark always had a warm smile and subtle quips for his many nieces and nephews. Joe (Darryl & Holly), Zoe and Libby (Darrin and Megan), Dakota, Xavier, Carter, Sander, Asher, and Pyper (Daniel and Anne), (Rachel & Brian.)
He was also a great brother who always put his siblings first. The best kind of brother, really. Mark, along with his siblings, played hours of barn basketball and halftime football games in the front yard. Mark was also a loyal son who stayed and worked on the family farm (while having his own full time job) which allowed Dad to continue farming even as his health declined. Mark loved his Mom dearly as well and continued his Sunday visits with her after Dad’s passing just over two months ago.
Mark enjoyed playing football (he played tackle on the offensive line in high school) and cheered on the Wolverines and Lions. He was an extremely hard worker and if there was a farm chore to be done, he’d be the first to help out.
A generous heart and a helping hand epitomized Mark’s life.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, at Rosenberg Chapel at 807 E Chicago Rd, Sturgis, MI 49091.
